Directions:

  1. In a medium saucepan heat butter over medium heat

  2. Melt butter completely

  3. Continue cooking for about 10-15 minutes

  4. Observe that the butter should foam and boil twice

  5. This would turn into separated bright gold/light brown melted oil, foam, and crunchy milk solids

  6. Pour through a wire mesh strainer lined with 4-6 layers of cheesecloth into a glass storage with a lid

  7. Discard the foam and crunchy milk solids

  8. Store ghee in the fridge for up to three months
